Why don't telemarketing companies get it?

The calls are not wanted. Period!

We do not want what they are selling!

If we want something, we will go to a shop that sells it, or find an Internet site that provides it.

We do not have spare money like that for off-the-cuff purchases.

The calls are a considerable nuisance, and are likely to invoke an angry response or reaction.

And we certainly do not need the lies, deceit and cunning that they use in their calls to try and make us buy what we do not want - like telling us that we have a subscription already that we need to renew, when it is simply not the case!

And we certainly do not need their computer generated calls at twenty past two in the morning as happened today! These machines should be outlawed anyway, they are nothing more than a public nuisance!

  1. It may be that telemarketers are incessant in their pursuit to close sales over the phone and many of these potential clients get disgruntled by the thought of it, the fact remains telemarketers are built to be persistent that is why it cannot be denied that telemaketers are not quitters.

    1. That may be so, but at the same time there are questions of honesty, integrity and understanding where they are concerned. Most who have rung me over the years have lied through their teeth to try and make a sale.
And they should understand that "no" means "no"! How many times do I have to say "no" before they finally give up?
Persistence is one thing. Being a complete, confounded, unwanted nuisance is something else entirely!
And if I want something I will go to a shop to buy it. I do not need their calls - period!
